Cybercriminals use various tricks to trick users, even on social networks. This time, they have created a fake Facebook account in the name of Partenamut and are contacting people to ask them to make a payment and then receive the expected refund. Above all, don't do it.
Be extremely careful. If you receive any suspicious emails or messages, take a screenshot and send them to us at suspicious@safeonweb.be.
Partenamut also provides information on phishing via its official website.
How can you tell the difference between a genuine message from us and a fraudulent e-mail?
Firstly, Partenamut may invite you to pay an invoice by the following means:
- by post
- directly in your Zoomit space or the e-box of your online counter (My Partenamut)
- by e-mail or SMS to notify you that there is a pending payment or to send you a payment reminder.
Secondly, Partenamut will never contact you by telephone to invite you to pay.
Thirdly, Partenamut will never ask you for your e-mail address, password or any other personal data electronically.
