Scammers operate via phone calls, text messages, e-mails and social networks (Facebook, Whatsapp, LinkedIn,...). Their aim is to steal your money. Or to steal your personal data to sell it or use it to scam other people. To achieve their goals, they pose as well-known institutions or companies.
How can you avoid being tricked? Always be on your guard when you receive a phone call or message from an unknown person. Beware of threatening or so-called urgent e-mails that make you click on a link without thinking, and take you to a website where you have to give your login and password. These websites are fakes, almost perfect copies of real company or public service websites.
