Last week, the FPS Economy warned of phishing messages in the name of the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (CBE). The message is fake.
The e-mail supposedly from KBO asks you to update your contact and company details as soon as possible by digitising them. Apart from a few minute spelling errors, the e-mail is extremely professionally formatted, including CBE's logo. Moreover, the scammers mimic an existing e-mail address, making it appear as if the phishing e-mail came from that CBE e-mail address. In this case, noreply.kbo@economie.fgov.be is used as the sending address.
