A new board game to raise awareness among young people about online fraud

Febelfin presents a new fun initiative to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of cyber fraud: Hacker Hotline 2.0, an interactive board game designed for classrooms.

An educational tool for ages 12 and up

Aimed at young people aged 12 and up, this free game helps them understand:

  • the different types of online fraud (phishing, money mules, fraudulent webshops, etc.);
  • how to recognise a suspicious situation;
  • and how to protect themselves by adopting good digital habits.

Designed for use in the classroom, the game comes with comprehensive teaching materials (presentation, worksheets, oral notes) that comply with school curricula. Teachers can thus lead an independent, practical and engaging awareness session.

Why it's important

The figures remain worrying:

  • 1 in 4 young people do not know what phishing is;
  • 23% might share their bank details after receiving a misleading message;
  • almost half have never heard of money mules.

Teaching young people good digital habits gives them the keys to avoiding becoming the next victim.

How to obtain the game

Schools and organisations can request Hacker Hotline 2.0 free of charge via Febelfin.
